1964 Cobra Daytona Coupe
|Color:||Blue with White Racing Stripes|
History: The history of the original six 1964 Cobra Daytona Coupes is well known. A key factor in winning the FIA World Championship of Makes title for Ford-Cobra-Shelby. This car was first sold 9/24/1964 to Stephan Schipper in California. A silver with black interior Roadster. Then after six more California owners, it is purchased by Mike McCluskey in Torrance, CA. At that time, Mike had been approached by Carroll Shelby to build a Cobra Daytona Coupe on an original Cobra CSX chassis, which he did for Shelby (he was also involved in the production of the CSX4000 series Cobras). McCluskey went on to build CSX2465 for Shelby, and alongside it he also built CSX2501 into a Daytona Coupe. In all, McCluskey built (or rebody) eight original Roadsters into Daytona Coupes. He is the true Cobra expert.
Description: Restored from 1999-2000, it has gone through only three owners since. In excellent condition with limited use.
