History: Alfa Romeo Archivio Automobilismo Storico Letter shows delivery to the Commerce Company of the Alfa Romeo Products of Agno, Switzerland. Produced on June 3, 1965, this Stradale GTA was delivered red with black vinyl.
It spent its life in Switzerland. Beginning racing in historic competition throughout Europe from 1992-2008. Driven in the highly competitive U2TC Series during the ownership of Ivan Scotti. A competitive car often in the top three placings.
Condition: A large binder records the comprehensive restoration performed from 2017 to 2020 with receipts totaling over $200,000. It is in full Corsa specification. The engine, transmission and differential rebuilt by Ray Thompson. 190 bhp with engine build sheet and dyno sheet. Bare body shell repairs and repaint by EuroSport. Assembly and brightwork at Grand Prix Classics. Final work, race prep, track set up, suspension and alignment by Competition Touring Cars at Sonoma Raceway. This car is stunning to look at, accurately restored and ready to race.
Features: Full aluminum body with steel floors, plexiglass windows, lightweight dash, KONI shocks, engine is a fresh build with GTA twin plug cylinder head, Weber DCOE 45 carburetors, deep finned magnesium oil pan, magnesium bell housing, close ratio gearbox, limited slip differential, ATE brakes, outside fuel filler and large competition fuel tank, 7” Campagnolo magnesium wheels with new Hoosier TD race tires. New fuel cell, fire system, seat belts, Sparco competition seats.
Spares: Dunlop brakes, rear T-bar, Campagnolo wheels, steering wheel.
