The third owner from new campaigned it for 20 years, ensuring it was well maintained and routinely serviced. As of 1998, Chassis 046 was exclusively maintained, and race prepped by Phil Denney, ex-JPS Formula One Lotus Mechanic, now of PRD Engineering USA (Sonoma, California).
This is the last of the Mauro Forghieri designed flat 12-cylinders, a pure analog Ferrari Formula One car, that claimed Constructors’ Championships for Ferrari four times (’75, ’76 ’77 and ’79). This is the last of a great design – the Forghieri designed aluminum monocoque, flat 12-powered F1 cars – one of five T5 series made.
Constant professional upkeep and race prep by PRD Engineering with excellent records, including engine hours, build sheet, dyno sheet, track mileage log, shock rebuild, suspension crack check, magnesium castings and ignition system.
This is a professionally turned out, competitive Ferrari 312T5 Formula One car.
Eligible for the prestigious Monaco Historic Grand Prix and Masters Formula One Series as well as a true collector piece.
