According to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust this JaguarXK120 was manufactured on August 10, 1950, as a left-hand-drive opentwo-seater and dispatched on August 28, 1950, to Hornburg, the official Jaguardistributor in Los Angeles.
The ownership is known from the late 1960’s forward. Steven Daniels of Clinton, Michigan and the founding member of the Jaguar Affiliates Group, Michigan owned the car in the late 1960’s until 1973. Daniels was heavily involved in the JCNA and is known to many club members. There are service invoices in the file from his ownership.
Daniels sells 670555 to Michael A Griffin of Southfield, Michigan who keeps the car until 1982. 67055 is then owned by Jimme Edwards also of Michigan. This is confirmed by John Elmgreen (the Godfather of XK’s) and listed CJA. It then ends up in Indiana and is restored by Jerry Edwards of Muncie Classic Restorations.
Then is for sale in 2011 with Daniel Schmitt and Company in St Louis. Being sold to Craig at Fast Cars in Redondo Beach whowanted to use it for historic rallies.
Then ending up with Mike Monsalve of Torrance who keeps it for many years. The ownership is largely known. There are some older records.
Condition:
A fully restored Jaguar XK120 OTS Roadster finished in British Racing Green with black leather interior, side curtains, and soft top. Powered by Jaguar’s in line 6-cylinder 3.4-liter engine with dual side draft carburetors and dual overhead camshafts. The chassis was cleaned and painted. The body was dismantled, dipped, and the metal that was bad was replaced, exactly like original, then it was dipped and electro primed, and reassembled. The body work was finished and repainted to like new condition.
The engine was completely rebuilt. All four suspension corners, brakes, shocks, bushings were rebuilt. It has a brand-new stainless steel dual exhaust, period correct tires. The interior was completely redone in correct leather. As was the new soft top in black canvas. All the exterior plating has been refinished. This car was built to be driven, but it will show well in any Concours event.

It is equipped with spare wheel and tire, side curtains, soft top, jack and tool kit and owner’s manual.
Of Note:
In March 2026, it had some service work performed, including a brake rebuild with master cylinders and lines, carburetors, fresh fuel, replacement of various fuel and water lines and a minor tune, spark plugs and timing.
